The hillside lot dictates a terraced scheme solution for the small lot subdivision. A 19,000 sq ft lot was divided to accommodate 9 individual single-family dwellings. The homes are strategically clustered to cascade down the hill-side site. The simplicity of the building form takes clues from the familiar gabled roof typology. The iconic house is reinterpreted for the 21st century and in doing so provides much needed affordable housing for the neighborhood.
